Anne Marie Kuban

Senior Project Architect

akuban@jonesarc.com

Anne Marie is a team leader with a passion for exploring modern design rooted in the Northwest. She is intent upon creating spaces that blend movement, natural light, textures, and sustainable practices in an urban setting.

Her journey along the Pacific Coast began in the heart of San Francisco, where she refined her skills with multi-family, adaptive reuse, and education projects. Her work spans from San Diego to the Presidio and the greater San Francisco Bay Area. It encompasses a diverse range of projects, including high-rise development, reimagining historic buildings for new uses, and co-managing a multi-theatre/multi-department performing arts complex.

Moving northward to Portland, she collaborated on multi-family projects in dense, historical neighborhoods. With an affinity for design, building details, and a long memory, Anne Marie is best at working through tough design compositions with challenging code interpretations. Her exceptional work ethic and collaborative nature shine through as she mentors her teammates, helping them find their unique voice.

With a Masters of Architecture from Arizona State University, Anne Marie is licensed in both Oregon and California. She is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and holds LEED BD+C Accreditation.

When not immersed in her passion for rehabbing urban buildings, Anne Marie enjoys traveling to visit family, savoring relaxing dinners with friends, photography and embarking on beach trips with her spouse and their furry companion, Penny.
