This mixed-use project includes 100 apartments, 20,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and an underground parking garage. Located at the intersection of N Lombard and Charleston, the site sits at a key gateway to downtown St. Johns.
The building is organized around a series of courtyards, and it steps back from the sidewalk, creating gracious public gathering spaces, including a pedestrian plaza at Charleston and Lombard. Its design takes cues from historic St. Johns and Portland’s many streetcar-era commercial districts. Narrow vertical bays, generous windows, and a rich material palette give the building visual interest and a human scale.
